In 1905, the Southern Pacific Railroad maintained a central ticketing office at 608 1st Avenue in Pioneer Square. In 1903, the Great Northern Railway had its main ticket office at 612 1st Avenue, but, by 1905, it had moved east, to 721 2nd Avenue.
