Prominent San Francisco architect David Farquharson (b. 1827) operated his own architectural practice in Room #79 of Nevada Block in 1877. (See San Francisco, California, City Directory, 1877, p. 465.)

In 1900, the O.F. Willey and Company sold "Fine Carriages, Harness Robes and Whips of Every Description" in the Nevada Block. (See O.F. Willey advertisement, Crocker-Langley City Directory, [San Francisco: Crocker-Langley, 1900], p. 1625.)
