The Los Angeles Times reported in its issue of 07/19/1903: "Architects Morgan & Walls are preparing plans for a two-story and basement brick warehouse to front fifty feet on East Second street, between Central Avenue and San Pedro street, by 120 feet in depth and 100 feet wide on the rear walls. It will have concrete basement and foundation walls, granite pier blocks, iron columns, steel beams, heavy construction, gravel roof. It will be built for J.M. Davies."
