The first school operating in Alhmabra, CA, opened in a redwood cabin located on South Chapel Avenue near East Beacon Street. This school operated for about three years, during which time a fire destroyed parts of it. (See "About Us,"Accessed 07/07/2014.) Sebastian Shaw served as the school's first principal.
