Builder Julius Francis Hall (1853-1937) commissioned the construction of the New Hotel Broadway in 06/1907. (See Architect and Engineer of California, 06/1907, p. 84.)
This hotel was located next to the Court Flight funicular railroad. A cafe occupied part of the hotel's first floor c. 1905.
