Erected in 1960 by Dr. Dwight Cook and Dr. Charles Clark, this medical-dental office building would become very successful, rapidly developing into a major hospital serving the growing city of Encinitas, CA. This first building lasted only three years, 1960-1963, before it was torn down to make way for a new 60-bed medical facility, the Encinitas Convalescent Hospital. The site is now occupied by the Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.
