This church was completed one year after the grand Saint Matthew's Episcopal Church #1 was completed in San Mateo, CA. It replaced a prefabricated building, brought around the Cape Horn erected in 1852. This third Trinity Episcopal Church was superseded by an 1892 design by architect A. Page Brown.
