3124-3126 Point Lobos Avenue

The mixed use retail and residential building at 3124-26 Point Lobos Avenue was listed in the San Francisco Call on 05/13/1910. The classified ad described it: "3124-26 Point Lobos av. bet. 20th and 21st avs. Improvements consist of store and flat of 7 rooms and bath; store is rented for $35 per month; flat now vacant, readily worth $15; lot 25x100 ft." (See G.H. Umsben and Company, Auctioneers, classified advertisement, San Francisco Call, 05/13/1910, p. 15, col. 4.) It belonged to the B.J. Taylor Estate when it was auctioned by Umsben in 1910. It was located on the city's far west frontier in 1910, a few blocks north of Golden Gate Park. This would account, at least in part, for the low rental price of the apartment.
