This Spanish Colonial Revival Style night club hosted a variety of singers and comedians, particularly in the 1960s and 1970s, including Linda Ronstadt, Steve Martin and the Doors.
The Golden Bear was located across the Pacific Coast Highway from the Huntington Beach Pier. The front of the building was bi-laterally symmetrical, with two sets of arched windows on either side of an inset, central front door. The arched windows were of different sizes, smaller closest to the center, larger on the ends. Both sized windows had decorative wrought iron work in the upper arched portion of the window.
Demolished; the City of Huntington Beach required the razing of the Golden Bear due to violations of seismic safety ordinances in 1986.
