This wharf was in operation in 1868. In 1961, Seattle Times writer, C.T. Conover, wrote in a column, "In 1868, L.B. Andrews opened the first real-estate office in Seattle on the Dexter Horton & Co. wharf, in the rear of a store." (See C.T.
