This Piggly Wiggly location was located on the corner of 15th Avenue NW and NE 85th Street, at the northern border of Seattle's city limits in the 1920s. Piggly Wiggly, founded by Clarence Saunders (1881-1953) in Memphis, TN, in 1916, became one of the first national supermarket chains, peaking at 2,660 stores in 1932.
