The Frontier Drive-in, with its car hop service, had two locations c. 1955; this one at 250 West Colorado Boulevard, across US Highway 66 from the Santa Anita Race Track and one at 4731 East Live Oak Street (next to the Edwards Drive-In Theatre).

Like many drive-in restaurants in Southern CA during the 1940s-1950s, the Frontier had a faceted end to allow autos to park around it. Also to long car ports, like porte cocheres, projected from opposite walls of the building, sheltering car hops in inclement weather.
