Businessman Arthur and Marian (born c. 1900 in WI) Hanisch and their sons, Shaler (1927-1995) and Stuart (born c. 1937 in WI), lived at this address in 1947. Arthur O. Hanisch was President of The Stuart Company, an early manufacturer of vitamin supplements headquartered in Pasadena, CA. The company, founded in 1941, later went on to strike it rich with its anti-heartburn product, Mylanta, which was trademarked in 1961.
