The second span at the southern foot of Fremont Avenue, lasted only two years. It was built in 1912 to replace a bridge here built in 1892. This first bridge, in bad repair, was removed to enable work to go on for the Lake Washington Ship Canal.
Demolished; this bridge had its central section swept away when a temporary dam nearby failed on 03/13/1914, sending a surge of water through the channel separating Fremont from Queen Anne.
