An article in the San Francisco Call of 03/25/1911 said of the new Crocker Estate Hotel: "The new Crocker estate building on the northwest corner of Mission and Seventh, opposite the post office, is nearly completed. It is seven stories high with outer walls of terra cotta brick. The six upper floors will be devoted to a hotel, which has already been leased. Part of the stores on the ground floor have been rented also, thought it will be a month or so before the building will be ready for occupancy."
