Local building contracting firm Misho and Grant made the low bid of $74,215 to win the contract for the Franklin County Courthouse in 01/1912. Seattle-based architect C. Lewis Wilson won the design commission; he had just previously gotten the commission for the Pacific County Courthouse #2 in South Bend, WA. Additional contracting bids were made in 05/1912 for the completion of an art glass dome for the cupola and two art glass skylights. The C.C. Belknap Glass Company won this contract with a $3,000 bid.
