A store operated on the first floor of this building, with a meeting hall above. This arrangement existed elsewhere in pioneer towns nearby, such as Yesler's Hall (1861) in Seattle, WA, often considered the first theatrical space in the city. In the case of Fall City, the local Masonic Lodge #66 met here from 02/21/1890 until 09/02/1894, when fire destroyed Taylor's Store and Meeting Hall.
