This branch of the National Bank of Commerce was robbed on 12/14/1972. An off-duty Seattle police officer apprehended a suspect, 42-year-old James B. Peterson, a machinist, immediately after the robbery. (See "Three banks robbed; two suspects caught," Seattle Times, 12/15/1972, p. F7 (62).)
