In 01/2013, the Boise Cascade Company, based in Boise, ID, made an initial purchase offering of stock, enabling it to raise an expected $190 million. Formerly privately held and known as "Boise Cascade, LLC," it changed its name into that of a corporation, the "Boise Cascade Company" at this time. Madison Dearborn Partners IV, a private equity concern based in Chicago, IL, owned the majority of stock, and the retailer, Office Depot of Boca Raton, FL, had a minority position, owning 20% of the new entity. In 2013, the Boise Cascade Company owned wood products manufacturing facilities in six OR cities: Elgin (two facilities), Pilot Rock, Medford (two facilities), Willamina, White City (two facilities) and La Grande (three facilities), as well as a building materials distribution warehouse in Vancouver, WA. Other WA manufacturing plants were located in Kettle Falls (two facilities), and Colville. Boise Cascade also had other plants in LA, NC and SC. Tel: 541-776-6666 (2013).
