The Spokane-based firm Cutter and Malmgren completed the commission for the Lewis B. Peeples House, at 948 Harvard Avenue East, a residence done in one of Kirtland Cutter's favorite styles, the Swiss Chalet. The view of the Peeples House's front facade was enshrouded in foliage c. 2013.

A two-car garage was added later directly off Harvard Avenue East.
