This printing plant, open by 06/1990, contained 684,491 square feet and had a three-story pressroom 530 feet long and enclosing 55,700 square feet. The plant had the capacity in 2011 to manufacture 70,000 96-page newspapers per hour. It could also store up to 60 million pounds of newsprint.
In 2011, the Los Angeles Times operated three printing facilities in the Los Angeles area: one on Olympic Boulevard in Los Angeles, one in Costa Mesa, CA and a third in the San Fernando Valley in Chatsworth, CA. At this time, the Times's Olympic plant was open for guided tours.
