Architect Myron Hunt designed this very large, two-story Colonial Revival House for E.F. Robbins in the Oak Knoll neighborhood of Pasadena, CA. Brick facing covered a planar front facade. The house had a symmetrical front aspect with multiple chimney rising from various points on the gable roof. A widow's walk stretched between the chimneys.

The rear facade of the Robbins had a long trabeated portico supported by a colonnade of fluted columns. A porch lined with a metal balustrade stood on top.
