The theatre at 230 West Second Street, Chico, CA, began operations known as the "Majestic," and was known during the Depression Era as the "National." As the Majestic, it was a stop along the Southern California vaudeville circuit. As time went on, movies were also exhibited. T & D Jr. Enterprises operated the National Theatre.

The theatre experienced a fire in 1946 requiring significant reconstruction. The facade in 2013 dated from this era.
