The Zim's Hamburgers chain once ballooned to 20 locations during its 46 years. In later years, this 19th Avenue and Taraval Street restaurant, once one of the chain's most popular, became the Sushi Raw occupied the space. The last Zim's closed c. 1995.
This Zim's Hamburger restaurant occupied the first-floor, corner storefront of a brick mixed-use building.
Signs posted on windows of Zim's Hamburgers location indicated it closed for renovation in 1978. Actually, a labor strike idled operations at the time.
