West Galer Street and Queen Anne Avenue North

In 1917, the Seattle Times announced the near completion of the Sagamore Apartments: "One of the latest improvements to the Queen Anne Hill residence district has been the erection of the Sagamore Apartments at the corner of West Galer Street and Willard Avenue. The building will soon be ready for occupancy. Particularly attractive is the view from this site, the outlook being without obstruction over the Sound, Magnolia Bluff and the Olympic Mountains. The building is of solid brick construction, four stories in height. It contains twenty-nine apartments of two, three and four rooms each. The property has been leased for ten years to A.H. Tappan." (See "Erect New Apartment on Queen Anne Hill" Seattle Times, 12/23/1917, p. 9.)
