Polk's 1908 Seattle City Directory (p. 685) located the Imperial Apartments at 1427 East Pike Street, This three-story, yellow-brick apartment building featured a symmetrical front facade trimmed by Georgian Revival ornamentation. Ornamental quoins trimmed the corners, keystones topped the pairs of double-hung windows, and a triangular pediment highlighted the front door. The front had a five-bay composition, with two bay windows framing the central bay containing the main entry.

Alterations were probably made to the cornice line.
