This campus of Mount Saint Mary's was formed around the Posey, Oliver P., House #1, Chester Place, Los Angeles, CA, (better known as the Edward Laurence Doheny, Sr., House #1), opening in 1962. This 3-story, 22-room dwelling served, in 2009, Mount Saint Mary's classes and Da Camera Society chamber music concerts. Other late Victorian mansions owned by Doheny in the Chester Place enclave also were transformed to serve various functions for Mount Saint Mary's Doheny Campus; additionally, new academic buildings have been built, further expanding the campus.
