Building History

William Pigott (1860-1929), the future President of the Seattle Car Company, worked for W.D. Hoflus and Company in 1901, a manufacturer of railroad supplies. (Pigott worked in partnership with William D. Hoflus and George J. Danz.) Seattle Car would ultimately develop in to PACCAR, the world's leading truck builder. Pigott lived at this address in 1901.
