Faxon, Gruys and Sayler served as the architect of the Jones-Bednar Building; the William Simpson Construction Company was the Building Contractor.
This small office building consisted of a two-story, rectangular office block that was set back from West 3rd Street and faced Poinsettia Place. On the east side was an exterior stairway linking the floors. Attached to this block on the south, was a one-story polygon, angled to face West 3rd. In a presentation drawing of 1956, the south-facing windows had cantilevered sunscreens. This presentation of the Jones-Bednar Office Building was featured in the Los Angeles Examiner, c. 1956. J.R. Hollingsworth photographed the drawing. (See "Jones-Bednar Office Building, W. 3rd & Poinsetta St., Los Angeles, 1956,"
