The station was a cross-gabled, wood-frame building, with wood siding, dating c. 1915.
Local high school students assisted contractors in the renovation of this Pacific Electric station into a new youth center in 1948. The new facility had two dance floors (indoor and outdoor), a snack bar/soda fountain, ping-pong tables and recreational equipment. The snack bar replaced the original ticket seller's booth. (See "All Aboard for Fun! Work on the Youth Center in Old Station Speeded," Los Angeles Times, 12/08/1948, p. B20.)
