The San Francisco architectural firm, Anshen and Allen, designed a large number of housing tracts on the San Francisco Peninsula during the 1950s-1960s, some for the renowned developer Joseph Eichler (1901-1974). Many were concentrated in the vicinity of Palo Alto, CA, where jobs were being created in the early years of various Silicon Valley start-up companies.
