Building History

The How House was located, like so much of Schindler's work, in the Silver Lake Neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA. Schindler designed the How House between 02/1925 and 03/1925. It was completed by 09/1925.

August Sarnitz has credited Richard Neutra with the design of the garden. See August Sarnitz, R.M. Schindler Architect 1887-1953, (New York: Rizzoli, 1988), p. 87.
