Originally, the Fairmount Theatre seated 761 patrons, and opened 08/18/1928 and operated until 1945 as the Fairmount. In 1947, it reopened (probably renovated on the interior) as the "Crest" as part of the Fox West Coast (6th District) movie exhibition chain, and remained in operation until 1959. As the Crest it had 742 seats.
