Charles Russell Collins, Sr. (c. 1863-1937), a mechanical engineer by training, moved to Seatttle, WA, with his wife Anna Irwin Chapin (c. 1864-1945), in 1896. Collins worked as the General Manager of the Seattle Gas and Electric Company, and later became a successful independent engineering consultant. He, his wife and their three children lived at this address in 1920.
