A former owner, Spear Street Capital, described the former warehouse at 111 South Jackson Street in its portfolio showcase: "111 South Jackson is a 75,000 square-foot office building located in the Pioneer Square area of downtown Seattle. Built at the turn of the century, the property has high, wooden beam ceilings, exposed brick walls and fine detailing on its sandstone exterior. Atop the property is a large glass enclosed pavilion with direct views of the waterfront." (See "111 South Jackson | Seattle, WA,"Accessed 05/14/2012.) Spear Street paid for a "full seismic renovation" of 111 South Jackson, and rented the building to Screenlife, a video gaming firm, and Microsoft. It sold the building after two years of ownership. The warehouse was erected c. 1900.

A glazed, gable-roofed addition was built on the building's roof c. 1980.
