The W Hotel, operated by Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Incorporated, was an early 2000s remodel of an existing apartment building, set near the UCLA Campus in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA. Another remodel occurred at this hotel in 2007. The W had 258 rooms in 2011, with the interior design done by Thom Filicia (b. 1969). At this time, the hotel featured a dramatic pool space, 7,000-square-foot spa and fitness room.
