The Capitola Historical Museum consisted of two small residences moved to this site by founder Phil Walker in 1967. One residence was a tiny, hipped-roofed cottage (built 1907), once part of the Cottage City section of Santa Cruz, CA, was brought to Capitola in 1941. The other gable-roofed bungalow (erected c. 1920) originally accommodated a farm family in Santa Cruz County and was relocated here in the 1960s.
