Dr. West McElroy and his wife, Adoree, resided in this Modern dwelling from 1956-2001, when the property was sold to its second owners. They lived here from 2001-2007 when the current inhabitants, Tim and Amy Janof purchased it. The Janofs have engaged in restoration, repair and suble updating of various rooms.

The historic preservation group Docomomo WEWA staged a tour of the McElroy House on 05/06/2012. The McElroy House was featured in the Seattle Times's Pacific Northwest Magazine in 04/2011.
