A complex of buildings surrounded the original Mission Dolores church by the mid-19th century. One wing of the complex was used as a rectory, housing priests serving the mission. Another portion was leased to a tavern, known as the "Mansion House."

Demolished; during the earthquake and subsequent fire in San Francisco on 04/18/1906, firefighters were forced to destroy the convento and the School of Notre Dame to block the flames from consuming the Mission church itself.
