The Schoenfeld Brothers--Max (born 03/20/1881-10/18/1990), Herman and Theodore-- operated their neckwear manufacturing business at this address in 1929. They moved to the Fashioncraft Building at 2022 Boren Avenue in 1929 or 1930. Prior to the 1601 2nd Avenue location, the Schoenfelds had their business at 308 Washington Street. (They operated here c. 1911).
