Structure Type: built works - dwellings - houses
Designers: Storey, Ellsworth P., Architect (firm); Ellsworth Prime Storey (architect)
Dates: [unspecified]
Seattle architect Ellsworth Storey designed this residence c. 1915. Architectural historians Woodbridge and Montgomery observed of this house: "The client for this house was a jeweler which may explain its idiosyncratic decorative detail. A strong horizontal emphasis given by deep over hangs and a flat roof makes a bow to Frank Lloyd Wright and the Prairie School." (See Sally Woodbridge and Roger Montgomery, A Guide to Architecture in Washington State, [Seattle: University of Washington Press, 1980], p. 164.)
