This building originally accommodated the offices, manufacturing and storage facilities for the Coffin-Redington Drug Company. Like many empty industrial spaces, the Coffin-Redington Building was renovated in the 1990s to create 53 condominium units.

A five-story addition was appended to the original concrete-framed four-story block in 1944, during World War II.
