Gardner A. Dailey (1895-1967) and his associate, Alec Yuill-Thornton, designed the pool pavilion for Mr. and Mrs. William Roth in 1946-1947.

San Francisco architectural firm Porter and Steinwedell redesigned the pavilion in 1957.
