Architect's own house; Los Angeles architect A. Quincy Jones (1913-1979) lived with his wife, Elaine Sewell Jones (1917-2010), at this address in 1955. The house was part of the Mutual Housing Association Cooperative in Brentwood, CA. The Jones House #2 won an Award of Merit from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) in 1957. His partner, Frederick Emmons (1907-1999), also won an Award of Merit that year for his own residence in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA.
