This was the second home of the museum first known as the Wing Luke Memorial Museum, for Wing Luke (1925-1965), the State Assistant Attorney General from 1957-1962, the first Asian-American elected to office in the State of WA. He was elected to the Seattle City Council in 1962, and served until his death in a small plane crash on 05/16/1965. The Wing Luke Asian Museum operated at this location until 2005, when its third building was opened.
