Architect Winchton L. Risley (1887-1975) designed the Asche House, a residence that won an award in the 12th Annual Small House Competition sponsored by House Beautiful magazine. J. Leslie Ramey served as the building contractor. Florence Yoch, Lucile Council and Robert M. Fletcher worked on the dwelling's landscape design.
Later owners of the Asche House included Avery McCarthy, Emrys Ross, Richard Steadman Hambleton.
