Mexican architect Ricardo Legorretta (1931-2011) designed this residence for the Mexican-born actor, Ricardo Gonzalo Pedro Montalbán y Merino (1920-2009), a pioneering Latino actor in English-speaking Hollywood. Montalbán lived here with his wife of 63 years, Georgiana Paula Belzer Montalbán (1924-2007). with whom he had four children.
