This house for artist Millard Sheets (1907-1989) dated c. 1955. BY 1952, Sheets had begun a lucrative period collaborating with Howard Ahmanson, Sr., (1906–1968), to design banks for his Home Savings of America chain. Sheets designed banks throughout Southern California, and could be identified by the colorful murals gracing their exteriors.

Sheets organized "The Arts of Daily Living" exhibition sponsored by House Beautiful Magazine and erected at the Los Angeles County Fair in 1954; he was an artist and interior design instructor; Sheets's House was reconstructed in 2003 and shown at the Fine Arts Building at the Los Angeles County Fairplex, 09/11-2003-09/28/2003.
