The first Saint Charles Borromeo School consisted of four temporary structures opened by the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in 1939; the school opened a year after a new church was opened by the parish. In 1947, a permanent building with 14 classrooms opened at 10850 Moorpark Street in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA.
