Charles E. Adams, who worked at Edward Adams and Sons, wholesale eggs, cheese and produce merchants, was the first inhabitant of this dwelling at 819 North G. Street. He lived in the house from 1899-1900. Peter T. Buschmann (d. 05/1903) a partner in the short-lived wholesale fish company, Buschmann Thorp Company, Incorporated, lived in the house next with his wife and eight children. When his business went bad in 1903, he committed suicide leaving his wife to care for their large brood.
This residence may have either been moved or had its number changed from 821 North G Street. It was a three-story Shingle Style residence with a cross-gabled roof and multiple dormers. A hipped-roof addition jutted from the rear of the dwelling having two stories. While the second and third floors were sheathed in shingles, the first floor had wood siding. A projecting porch sheltering the main entry had three turned posts across the front. Decorative sawn brackets ornamented the porch's cornice line.
